Collect Gallery Coins for the Sightings archive

The short answer

Gallery Coins unlock pictures in G-Force Lab → Sightings. In GamesHedge's November 2 PS5 review, each collected coin unlocks a random archive image. Coins are not the RP required by a monster or battleground Research Project, and they do not level a character.

The same review reports normal Custom Battles awarding coins or RP on wins and losses. Use normal progression settings; this guide does not promise coin awards with Tournament enabled or a way to select a particular random picture.

Check that the archive is the reward you want

  • Movie-history pictures: collect Gallery Coins and inspect Sightings.
  • A playable monster or arena: follow its Rumor and current Research Project. A growing picture collection does not finish that Project.
  • A character level or ability: earn the selected monster's Character XP in an eligible mode.

Sightings is the Lab's historical image archive, alongside Rumors and Projects. Do not look for a character shop simply because several kinds of progress appear in the same Lab.

Follow one coin to its collection result

  1. Look at Sightings before the match

    Open the archive in G-Force Lab and note what is currently available. This makes a new picture distinguishable from an RP or XP result.

  2. Play a normal Custom Battle

    Use your desired monster and battleground with Tournament off. The PS5 review describes Versus, Melee and Destruction rules in Custom play, with local players or CPU opponents. A win is not the only reported result that can award progress.

  3. Check the reward, then the archive

    If a Gallery Coin was awarded, return to Sightings and look for the newly unlocked picture. The cited behavior is a random image unlock on collecting a coin; we have not verified a separate purchase button, a coin price list or a manual roll mechanic.

  4. Vary the session when collecting further

    GamesHedge also reports additional content from different monster/battleground combinations. Try another available combination and inspect the actual result. This is not a complete combination table or a guarantee of a chosen missing picture.

If the picture or coin you expected is missing

I earned RP, but Sightings did not change
That result served research. Check whether a Gallery Coin was actually awarded before treating the archive as stuck.
I want one specific picture
The source describes random unlocks. We have no verified targeted purchase, duplicate-conversion rule or complete collection threshold.
I am winning but nothing is progressing
Check Tournament and the normal result screen first. Turn it off for progression and compare a complete normal Custom result. Record platform/build if the observed behavior differs from the PS5 report.

A collection check succeeds when…

You can connect an actual Gallery Coin reward to a new Sightings entry. If your intended reward was a monster, arena or level, switch tracks using the Lab comparison rather than repeating matches for the wrong currency.
